About Safehaus
Melbourne home security and rental compliance. One person, published prices.
Safehaus fits home security hardware across metro Melbourne, and carries out independent rental compliance assessments for Victorian landlords and property managers.
I’m Keith. I look after more than 50 residential properties around Melbourne — my own, my family’s, and other landlords’ — I spent my career in audit, and I attend every job myself. Prices are published, quotes are in writing before anything starts, and you deal with me from the first call to the final invoice.

Why one person does both
The honest version, in about ninety seconds.
Both services started at my own places. When break-ins picked up around our streets I went through my own doors, gates and windows properly, worked out which hardware actually does something, and fitted it. Neighbours asked if I’d do theirs, and it went from there.
The compliance side started the same way. Victoria’s rental standards changed, so I went through the properties I look after one at a time and worked out exactly what each standard means in practice — what it costs, how long it takes, and which items are worth doing early. That method became the report.
Audit was the day job for years, and it turns out to be the same discipline: check the thing carefully, and write down what you found in a way that still holds up months later, when a property manager or an insurer asks for the evidence.
Everything is priced in the open because I got tired of being on the other side of it — the quote that arrives after the tradesman has already looked around, and the report that finds problems but never tells you what fixing them costs.
